Introducing Korean cuisine at Pak Yon Commemoration Day

This August, we had the honor to present Korean cuisine during the Commemoration Day of Pak Yon (in Dutch: Jan Janszn. Weltevree, a sailor from De Rijp, The Netherlands who was the first European to settle in Korea during 17th century ) hosted & organized by  Jan Janszn. Weltevree / Pak Yon Foundation.

The Commemoration Day held each year on August 26th is celebrated by the Korean Embassy of The Netherlands, the Municipality of Alkmaar, Korean-Dutch community, etc.

We introduced the essence of Korean cuisine to everyone present for the Commemoration Day ceremony. And also prepared Korean refreshments combining tradition & the newest trends in Korea.

It was such a pleasure to present Korean cuisine during the ceremony, help bring the two countries closer together.
