Stage Demonstration at Korean Culture Festival 2024 in The Netherlands

On September 7th, we showcased Korean cuisine at the 2024 Korean Culture Festival, held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The Korean Culture Festival is an annual event promoting Korean culture, organized and hosted by the Korean Embassy in The Netherlands. This year, the event attracted over 2,000 participants.

During the main stage events, Taeyeon demonstrated how to make Tteokbokki (spicy rice cake stew) in the first session and vegan Bibimbap (a mixed rice bowl with vegetables) in the second session.

The dishes were elevated with local specialties and seasonal ingredients. For the Rose Tteokbokki, Dutch knakworst and gerookt spek were incorporated, while Dutch seasonal produce, like boerenkool, koolrabi, and specialties were used for the Bibimbap. The Bibimbap, in particular, was a true harmony of Korean and Dutch cultures.
